THERAPY PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy about therapy is pretty much like the quote above. I believe the purpose of therapy is to get a different perspective. We all see things the way we see them until we are able to see them differently. Einstein said something similar about not being able to solve a problem with the same thinking that created the problem. As a therapist, I am either a mirror, reflecting you back to yourself or a different window to look out of. Either way; think differently, feel differently, create change.

MY APPROACH
My approach is eclectic and based on the client(s) in front of me. I tend to be more attachment-based and somatic than skills-based or cognitive. We can and will talk about how to manage symptoms but it is my belief that until you get to root of the issue, the symptoms will persist. My approach is empathetic, educational, collaborative and directive. I combine problem-solving with acceptance, and support with challenge.
